I have been tagged

by my "dear" (not-so-dear-today) pal, Mom Unplugged, to share with the blogosphere my top seven songs that stick in my head and won't leave. How thoughtful of her to think of me and inspire not one, but seven, different viral songs to swim in my consciousness and not break free.

Gee, thanks.

She, in her blog, linked to all the songs, because several, she feared, might be unfamiliar to her beloved readers and she hated to deprive "her public" of the annoyances that plague her mind.

MY picks, on the other hand, are so cheesey, so familiar and so unforgettable, that I'm fully confident all my dear readers will recognize my tunes immediately and will hate me for encouraging them to jingle in their thoughts for the remainder of the day...

The seven songs I can't get outta my head are:

1) I know a song that gets on everybody’s nerves.. (I have a seven year old!)

2) 99 bottles of beer on the wall (Yep, my 7 year old sings this, too!)

3) Who let the dogs out? (Played at far too many agility trials I attend)

4) Time keeps on tickin’, tickin’, tickin,’ tickin’….into the future (Go on, sing "fyoo-chah!")

5) If you like pina coladas… and gettin' caught in the rain (and I'm sure you do!)

6) Afternoon delight (Gotta love those cheesey 70s tunes!)

7) Ice, ice baby (Gotta love cheesey 80s rap by a pastey dude with bad hair)



There you go! Now you, too, can have awful songs circling in your mind! You don't have to thank me. Just head on over to Unplug Your Kids and write her a delicious "thank you" in her comments section!
